Large Item Pickup Guidelines

Large, bulky items are picked up by Waste Management every Tuesday.  There is no need to call to schedule a pick-up just place your items at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on any Tuesday.  Items should not be placed under overhanging trees or next to light poles and should be stacked as neatly as possible.   If your items are NOT picked up by the end of the day Tuesday, please call or email ST with your address.

Items eligible for pick-up include:

• • Furniture
  • Fencing
  • Carpeting
  • Appliances**
  • Yard debris
  • Tree branches

**Refrigerant must be removed from refrigerators, etc. before they can be picked up. Residents should contact a refrigeration specialist to tag the appliance certifying the Freon has been properly removed. Items not properly tagged will not be picked up.

NOTE: Do not attempt to remove refrigerant yourself. Improperly handled refrigerant may result in physical harm. Only properly trained individuals using EPA-approved refrigerant recovery equipment should attempt to remove refrigerant from appliances.

Hazardous Materials can NOT be accepted. These include:

• • Tires
  • Oil
  • Paint

Also, please do not place bricks or large rocks at the curb or in trash carts. They cause damage to the trucks which results in "trash juice" spilling onto the streets.
